Creation Station @ The Refuge
Psalm 19:1-4
1 The heavens are telling the glory of God; and the firmament proclaims his handiwork. 2 Day to day pours forth speech, and night to night declares knowledge. 3 There is no speech, nor are there words; their voice is not heard; 4 yet their voice goes out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world.
The Creation Station at the Refuge is where we do discipleship for children and young people. This is an outdoor classroom right next to Kenowa Creek which runs through our property. Here we gather on Sunday afternoons throughout the year to learn about and from God’s glorious creation. We learn about flowers, trees, bugs, birds and many other things that God has created. We also learn how to take care of them. We tap maple trees and make syrup, we plant flowers and trees and we get into the creek to find bugs and mussels. This is a hands-on look at creation and the gospel. We also build fires and cook delicious snacks. We invite you to let your child learn about God’s wonderful creation in a beautiful setting with skilled guides. Contact us at hello@refuge-church.com for more information and to learn how you can enroll your child in this exciting learning experience.
In the summer we also host our Creation Station Vacation Bible School, which is a week where a group of kindergarten through 5th grade aged kids can come and learn about the wild wonder of God’s incredible creation. For more information on when this vacation bible school will be held, follow along on our Facebook Page or check back to our events page where we update what current events are happening.
